The Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium will fulfill the coveted role of the Main Stadium for the 33rd National Games 2007. The main stadium of the Sarusajai Sports Complex will seat a mind-boggling crowd of 30,000. Covering an area of 3857 square meters, the stadium will host most of the athletic events in addition to the Opening and Closing ceremonies.

It has state-of -the-art facilities like an 8 Lane Synthetic Track with 2 Ds for the main events and a 6 Lane Synthetic Track with 1 D for practice. The stadium is also equipped with facilities of international standards such as a Video-matrix Scoreboard, High Mast Lighting arrangements and the Flame Torch.
